HOW TO BE A "WITCH" (WICCAN) AND ELEMENTARY WICCA MAGIC / MAGICKActivities - Consecrating Your ToolsA tool is consecrated when you first receive it, periodically on a regular basis, and after illness or exposure to negative vibrations. A tool is consecrated through three steps.1) The first is cleansing. This is done through a smudging technique or salt water purification (See Following: Salt Water Purification and Cleansing with Smoke). 2) The next step is to charge or energize your tool. This is done by placing your tool in direct sunlight for at least three hours. 3) The final step to consecration is programming. You begin by rubbing your palms together briskly to stimulate their magnetic energy. Next place the tool between your hands: left palm (negative polarity) on the bottom and the right palm (positive polarity) on top. Then visualize your intention or purpose permeating the tool. Give yourself a little time to do this activity on a regular basis and your altar will always have the feeling of a sparkling clean house.
