OUTLINE OF HOW TO PERFORM GENERAL WICCA RITUALS

Preparation - Information to Share with your Participants

Ritual exists in many Religions for the purpose of creating paradigm shifts in consciousness. In Wicca, Ritual is used to connect with the cycles of the planet and to provide self-empowerment and fulfillment. As you read through the steps you will discover more about the symbolic meaning of Ritual and hopefully discover new depths of experience in your life.

If you mess up an incantation or recitation - it is ok. Just start over and loosen up. Many people think they have to be serious and solemn, even brooding, when performing ritual. If you are comfortable being this way, then so be it. But don't pretend or perform "a role" that is not you. The ritual will be hollow and false if you do.

Ritual was born as a social event that gathered folk together to share wonder and celebrate. Ritual is also about making magic through personal transformation. This can only happen when you are at your most comfortable and relaxed. Let your heart be light and willing when performing ritual - remember you are among friends.
