Leader chooses flower(s) from the altar, holds flower(s) close to the heart and then directly overhead to spirit and begins to recite:

Participant from Eastern side of circle chooses flower(s) from the altar, holds flower(s) close to the heart then raise to the East:
"Spring is in our Brother Air. May the fresh scent of new life bring new awareness of mother earth's needs. As spring flowers bloom afresh. May this blossom."
Participant from Southern side of circle chooses flower from the altar, holds flowers close to the heart then raise to the South:
"Spring is in the Returning Father Sun. May there be a return of joy and life in song, dance and love. May this blossom."
Participant from Western side of circle chooses flower(s) from the altar, holds flower(s) close to the heart then raise to the West:
"Spring Sister Rains Fall. May there be new understanding on earth and peace on earth. May this blossom."
Participant from Northern side of circle chooses flower(s) from the altar, holds flower(s) close to the heart then raise to the North:
"Spring Comes Forth from the Mother Earth. May the green woods return the freedom and balance of natural life. May this blossom."
All place the flowers in the fire and let their perfume fill the air.

Leader Concludes

"As we have banished our negative thoughts to the fire - so we cover the their memory with the smell of sweet perfume. We breathe out the old thoughts and breathe in the sweet scent of newness."
