Basic Wiccan Metaphysical Tools and Symbols – Colors and Chakras

There are seven Chakras or ‘body energy’ centers. Mental, emotional, physical or spiritual healing and strength can be gained by working with the colors associated with each Chakra. As you deepen your understanding and respect for Wicca, you may wish to burn a candle or wear certain colors to invoke a color vibration in your life.

Following is a chart that will give you a brief introduction of color associations.

Lower Reproductive, Sexual organs action energies, strength, power, courage, fire and passion, heat, sensuality, combine with other colors to bring action to purpose

Orange
(Sacral/Spleen Swadhisthama)

Adrenal, Lymphatic system stabilizing energies, money, financial success, mild stimulant, appetite, balances internal organs, promotes healing, improves social life, trust

Yellow
(Solar Plexus Manipura)

Pancreas, Digestive system mental energies, conscious mind, stimulates intellect, happiness, joy, creativity, inventiveness, will power, wisdom, weight loss, perfecting details

Green
(Heart Anahata)

Thymus, Circulatory system healing energies, Mother Earth, calming and soothing, prosperity, abundance, fertility, growth, beneficial travel, luck, youth, new ideas

Blue
(Throat Vishuddha)

Thyroid, Respiratory system calming energies, brings peace, harmony, tranquility, enhances breath, psychic abilities, opens third eye, aids communication, induces sleep and inner peace

Violet
(3rd eye Ajna)

Pituitary, Cerebrum spiritual energies, psychic awareness, short vibrations, healing power, universal love, meditation, mental and memory activities

White
(Crown Sahasrara)

Pineal, Nervous System all purpose energy, peace, protection, purity, cleansing, healing, spiritual love, compassion, happiness, elevates spirituality

Black

Neutral grounding energies, absorbs negativity, neutralizing, absence of all color is good for centering

Pink

Emotions blends red/white spectrum extremes, protection, peace

Silver

Feminine moon, subconscious mind

Gold

Masculine sun, conscious mind
