Consecration – Creating Sacred Space

Consecration – Creating Sacred Space

There are three elements to creating sacred space: casting the circle, invocation to the Cardinal Points and lastly, Invocation to God and Goddess energies. Take a moment to describe what will now follow. Read the following:

1) Consecration – Cast the Circle

“Now we will cast a Circle. We will start at north, and walk clockwise around the area where we are to hold our ritual – 3 times while imagining a wall of bright blue/white light surrounding the Circle. This light protects us against anything that would hinder our positive intent.

“We project this light just beyond our Circle with our hand, forefinger, or wand. Point to the ground, but see the light reaching into eternity to the sky and deep into the earth. While we walk we will chant an affirmation.

LET’S BEGIN!”

This chant is recited and repeated by all as the Circle is cast (If you can come up with an acceptable tune – singing the chant is especially powerful.)

CHANT: “Our Circle is filled with Spirit and Light and all things that are Holy and Right.”

2) Consecration – Invocation to the Cardinal Points of the Earth

Leader begins invocation:

“Our Circle is cast. We now take the elements of existence from the Altar and place them to the cardinal compass points. As we hold the items in our hands we will ask our Spirit Guardians for Blessing.”

East – Air – Incense (Masculine)

1) Individual picks up the Seasonal Incense and lights it.
2) Walks from his position in the Circle around clockwise (making one full pass around the Circle) ending in the East.
3) Lifts the Incense to the heavens and recites the following invocation:

“Hail guardians of the watchtower of the East, powers of air.
“Blow stale air, stale ways and stale energies away, fill our lungs with fresh air and fresh life.
“Let there be clear skies and clear minds for us to see our way.
“Let our words create a new safe space.
“Blessed be.”

4) Places the Incense on the Eastern ground and walks around the Circle clockwise back to original position in the Circle.

South – Fire – Candle (Masculine)

1) Individual picks up the unlit Candle and lights it.
2) Walks from his position in the Circle around clockwise (making one full pass around the Circle) ending in the South.
3) Lifts the Candle to the heavens and recites the following invocation:

“Hail guardians of the watchtower of the South, powers of fire.
“Help us to emerge from hibernation and isolation, to greet and interact with each other enthusiastically.
“Let our passion for life grow.
“It is our birthright to live loudly and feel strongly and stand for principles we believe in our hearts.
“Release our fears of being seen and KNOWN.
“Let our emotions out from all their hiding places.
“Blessed be.”

4) Places the Candle on the Southern ground and walks around clockwise back to original position.

West – Water – Chalice (Feminine)

1) Individual picks up Water Chalice.
2) Walks from her position in the Circle around clockwise (making one full pass around the Circle) ending in the West.
3) Lifts the Chalice to the heavens and recites the following invocation:

“Hail guardians of the watchtower of the West, powers of water.
“Rain on us, quench our thirst.
“Help us remember the ocean womb from which we come.
“Now let all of us be connected and see how our fragile human existence depends on interdependence.
“Let our energy be flowing back and forth until all is one. Let the drought of separation be over.
“Blessed be.”

4) Places the Chalice on the Western ground and walks around clockwise back to original position…

North – Earth – Sacred Stone or Crystal (Feminine)

1) Individual picks up the Crystal.
2) Walks from her position in the Circle around clockwise (making one full pass around the Circle) ending in the North.
3) Lifts the Crystal to the heavnens and recites the following invocation:

“Hail guardians of the watchtower of the North, powers of earth.
“Strengthen our resolve, keep us centered.
“Keep us focused. Help us be here, IN THE NOW.
“Let us not run away from the real tasks and challenges in front of us.
“Let our bodies be strong for loving each other.
“Let the details of the workday pass, and let us learn from our struggles, because personal transformation is the true magic.
“May a greater circle be cast of love and social harmony in the world.
“Blessed be.”

4) Places the Crystal on the Northern ground and walks around clockwise back to original position.

3) Consecration – Invocation to God and Goddess – And Specific Sabbath Ritual

Leader concludes invocation:

“Goddess of Moon, Waters and Earth,
“God of Sun, Forests, and Mountains, you are around and within us always.
“God and Goddess within each of our souls, Let us feel your presence and infinite wisdom within our circle right now.
“Blessed be.”

The leader leads the group in activities and readings for the specific day you are celebrating.

In the past 20 years I had to do a lot of research to find good QUALITY caring service providers. Here is where I register domains:

I recommend both highly.
