Wiccan Holy Days and Sabbaths to Observe –
Lummas, Lughnasad – August 1
This holiday is named in honor of the God in the form of Lugh, the Sun King. It is the first of the three harvest holy days when the first fruits are offered in thanks for bountiful crops. Like Thanksgiving, it can be considered to be a time to be grateful for the blessings of life. A meal should be shared that includes the produce and grains of the season.
